About the project
FIInvest is an app for managing portfolios of Brazilian real estate investment funds (FIIs), tracking income distributions and reviewing investment history. It is available on Android and iOS.
Problem
Tracking a FII portfolio manually often means combining brokerage data, spreadsheets and notes. Keeping holdings, average purchase prices and dividends up to date requires repeated work and can lead to inconsistent records.
Solution
The app brings portfolio holdings, distribution history and dividend projections into one place. Users can review individual funds and track their investment income on their phones.
My role
I designed and built the product, from defining its scope to publishing it on both app stores. I was responsible for the architecture, financial data and calculation models, interface, market data API integration and subscription setup.
Key features
- FII records with ticker validation
- Unit count and average purchase price per fund
- Dividend tracking and synchronization
- Distribution history filtered by period
- Dividend projections based on historical distributions
- Data export
- Free and premium features
Architecture and technical decisions
The app uses React Native, Expo and TypeScript, with a shared codebase for Android and iOS. TypeScript models organize the data and calculation rules for assets, transactions and income distributions.
Market data comes from an external API (Plexa API), with a local cache so the app stays usable when syncing fails. RevenueCat handles subscriptions and access control for premium features on both stores.
Outcome
Published on Google Play and the App Store, with ongoing development.
Technologies
React Native, Expo, TypeScript, Plexa API and RevenueCat.
