Elton Santos

Software Engineer and Full Stack Developer. I work across enterprise platforms, government systems and my own products.

I have over 10 years of experience in software development and systems analysis. Throughout my career I have worked on government platforms, enterprise systems, financial products and my own web and mobile applications.

I currently take part in developing and modernizing government platforms in Portugal, using C#, Java, React and Node.js. The work also covers accessibility, automated testing, evolving legacy applications and identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID.

Before that, I was Tech Lead on a fintech and investment platform for the MENA market. I was responsible for architecture decisions across web and mobile applications, authentication, KYC, MFA, external integrations and risk and fraud services in Python with event processing through Kafka.

Alongside my professional work, I build my own products. I have apps published for Android and iOS and SaaS projects that let me work end to end: architecture, interface, backend, database, integrations, monetization, release and operations.

I also have a background in computer forensics and information security. That experience directly shapes how I build software, especially around access control, traceability, auditing and keeping stored personal data to a minimum.
