About the project
ESInvestment is a platform in development for consolidating investments held across financial institutions. Its scope includes stocks, Brazilian real estate investment funds (FIIs), fixed income, Brazilian Treasury bonds, cryptoassets and international investments.
Problem
When investments are spread across brokers and institutions, tracking portfolio value and returns requires combining information from several sources. This makes it harder to understand asset allocation and compare performance with market benchmarks.
Solution
The platform is designed to bring holdings, investment income, allocation and portfolio value over time into one consolidated view. Planned data entry options include manual records and a connection to B3, Brazil’s stock exchange, with performance comparisons against CDI, Ibovespa (IBOV) and IPCA. The pricing model includes one portfolio on the free plan and unlimited portfolios on Pro.
My role
I am responsible for the architecture, design system, data modeling, access policies and interface. The work establishes a shared foundation for the portfolio management modules.
Planned features
- Consolidation of multiple asset classes into one portfolio
- Performance comparisons against CDI, IBOV and IPCA
- Investment income and asset allocation tracking
- Portfolio value over time
- Free and Pro plans
Architecture and technical decisions
The architecture uses Next.js with App Router and Server Actions, integrated with Supabase, and includes plans for Python data services built with FastAPI.
The access model restricts users to their own portfolios through PostgreSQL Row Level Security policies. This applies permissions at the database level as well.
The design system reserves green and red for gains and losses. Blue and navy form the product’s visual identity, helping users distinguish navigation elements from financial indicators.
Outcome
The initial foundation, design system and landing page with pricing plans are complete. Authentication, the application structure and portfolio modules remain in development.
Technologies
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Recharts, Python and FastAPI.
