About the project
Prazo Guard brings product warranties and service subscriptions into one app. Users can store supporting documents and track expiration dates and renewals with reminders.
Problem
Receipts become scattered, and warranty or renewal dates can be overlooked after months without checking them. Retrieving a document or preparing for a charge requires information that is not always organized.
Solution
The app centralizes products under warranty and recurring services. Documents are attached to their records, and notifications remind users of expiration or billing dates.
My role
I developed the architecture, data model, authentication, document uploads and reminder system. I was also responsible for the interface and the app’s release.
Key features
- Product warranty records with attached receipts
- Monthly and annual subscription tracking
- Reminders before expiration or billing
- CSV export
- Light and dark themes
- Email and password or Google sign-in
Architecture and technical decisions
The app uses React Native, Expo Router and TypeScript. Firebase provides authentication, a database and file storage, keeping records and their documents with the same provider.
Forms use React Hook Form and Zod schema validation. This combination organizes input rules and keeps submitted data consistent with the documents stored in the database.
Outcome
Published on Google Play.
Technologies
React Native, Expo, TypeScript, Firebase and Zod.
